Two formats, twelve houses

Licence number: what a Curaçao OGL and an Anjouan ALSI say

A licence number is only worth something if it can be searched again. This page sets out the format each authority uses and shows which of the twelve houses print that number in their own terms.

A licence number on its own proves nothing — it proves something when somebody can take it, open the portal of the authority that issued it and see what comes back. The twelve houses in this site's ranking use two different formats, from two different authorities, and not all of them print the number anywhere visible in their own terms.

Two formats: OGL from Curaçao, ALSI from Anjouan

Curaçao issues numbers in the OGL format, followed by a year and two blocks of digits — such as Bitcasino.io's OGL/2023/111/0069, or Shuffle.com's OGL/2024/1337/0628. The portal for checking that format is cert.cga.cw, where each number can be searched separately, with the date of the search noted alongside.

Anjouan issues numbers in the ALSI format, followed by a longer block of digits and a short suffix — such as Wild Fortune's ALSI-202509073-FI2, or Wolfbet's ALSI-132405048-FI3. The Anjouan register follows the same logic as the Curaçao one: a number exists to be searched, not only to be read in the footer of a website. The same care guides the table on the Brazil crypto casino page.

Licence number: who prints it, and who lets the register speak alone

Eight of the twelve houses print a licence number somewhere in their own terms: Bitcasino.io, Rocketpot, Wild Fortune, Metaspins, Shuffle.com, Bitsler, Jack.com and Wolfbet. Rocketpot, for instance, carries 1668/JAZ in clause 1.2 — even though the Curaçao register, searched on 12 and 13 September 2026, showed that number as “not valid” in that window.

The other four follow a different pattern. Rainbet publishes no number at all in its own terms; clause 21.6 names only the authority, Gaming Services Provider N.V., with no number beside it to check. Thunderpick has a licence that shows as active in the register — OGL/2024/677/0722 — but the house's terms name neither authority nor number, leaving the register as the only source. Wild.io publishes a certificate in the name of Nonce Gaming B.V., while the site's own terms cite Stack Gaming Ltd., with no number common to the two. TrustDice had no licence number found in the terms consulted for this site.

Bitsler: a number the terms themselves call an “application”

Bitsler runs under Oyine N.V., with the licence OGL/2024/930/0387, issued on 22 July 2024. The detail lies in the word the terms themselves use: instead of treating the number as a licence granted, the text still calls it an “application” — a request, not a closed grant. It is a case where the number exists and is formatted as a valid OGL, yet the house itself describes it at a stage before a full licence.

Rainbet: an authority named, no number beside it

Clause 21.6 of Rainbet's terms names the supervising authority, Gaming Services Provider N.V., without printing a licence number next to that name. It is a drafting choice different from most of the other eleven houses: naming who supervises, without giving the reader the item that would allow a direct search of the register. With no number, the only way to check Rainbet's licence is through the named authority, not through a direct search on the portal.

What to do with a licence number

A licence number is useful only if it is checked at the source: cert.cga.cw for a Curaçao OGL, the Anjouan register for an ALSI. The action is always the same — search the exact number, note what the register shows and the date on which the search was made, because the state of a licence can change after that date. The page on licence validity sets out what the possible states mean. The page on since when the licence has held gathers the issue date of every number quoted here.

The panel below brings together the number, the format and the authority of each of the twelve houses, side by side with what their own terms do and do not print.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between an OGL number and an ALSI number?
OGL is the format used by Curaçao, checkable on the cert.cga.cw portal — such as Bitcasino.io's OGL/2023/111/0069. ALSI is the format used by Anjouan — such as Wild Fortune's ALSI-202509073-FI2. Neither format is, in itself, a guarantee of more or less weight; what changes is only the authority and the portal where each number can be checked.
Why does Bitsler still call its number an "application" in its own terms?
That is the word the house's text uses, even with a number already formatted as OGL/2024/930/0387 and a recorded issue date, 22 July 2024. This site describes the word exactly as it appears in the terms, without reclassifying what the house itself calls an application.
Does Rainbet have a licence, even without publishing a number?
Rainbet's terms name an authority, Gaming Services Provider N.V., in clause 21.6, but print no number beside that name. Without a number there is no direct search possible in the authority's register — the only source available, at the time this site read the terms, is the name quoted in the clause itself.
What do I do if I find a licence number away from the pages of this site?
Search for that exact number on the corresponding authority's portal — cert.cga.cw for an OGL format, the Anjouan register for an ALSI — and note the date on which you searched. A number on its own, without that check, says nothing about the current state of the licence; who checked, and when, matters as much as the number itself.
